Educational Objectives
1. To review the updated guidelines for treatment of
dyslipidemia.
2. Understand the risks and benefits of drug eluting stents.
3. Be familiar with new percutaneous mitral valve repair
techniques.
4. Determine the workup of the CHF patient and know when to
refer for EP evaluation.
5. Distinguish the measures used to prevent and treat
contrast induced nephropathy.
6. Recognize the current approaches to the unstable angina
patient.
7. Discuss cardiac surgical techniques utilizing robotic
technology.
8. Describe the role of hormone replacement therapy in the
postmenopausal female.
9. Employ new concepts of cardiocerebral resuscitation.
